In August (08/26/2020) the McLeansboro Police Department responded to Hamilton Memorial Hospital for a complaint of a sexual assault that had occurred. After taking the information an investigation was initiated into the alleged complaint. At the conclusion of the investigation Hamilton County State’s Attorney Justin Hood approved an arrest warrant for Aaron A. Clark (Age 22) of Benton, IL. The arrest warrant was for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, Victim between 13 and 17 years of age. Clark was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (IL) on 12/05/2020. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
