Egyptian Health Department was notified, on Thursday, of 34 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (18)
- 1 female under the age of 5
- 1 male under the age of 10
- 1 male in his teens
- 2 females in their 20’s
- 1 male in his 20’s
- 2 females in their 30’s
- 1 male in his 30’s
- 4 females in their 60’s
- 1 male in his 60’s
- 1 male in his 70’s
- 1 female in her 80’s
- 1 male in his 80’s
- 1 female in her 90’s
- Please note: A female was transferred to their local health department.
- Gallatin County (9)
- 1 male under the age of 10
- 1 female in her teens
- 2 females in their 20’s
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 2 males in their 30’s
- 1 male in his 40’s
- 1 female in her 50’s
- White County (7)
- 1 male in his teens
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 2 males in their 40’s
- 1 female in her 60’s
- 2 females; age demographics unknown-case status unknown
- Please note: 2 males and 1 female have been transferred to their local health department
To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,284 lab confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 555 have recovered, White County has had a total of 721 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 281 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 240 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 127 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
Wash your hands frequently. Wear a face covering if you have to go out. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Remain 6 feet apart from others.
*Egyptian Health Department is waiting for more guidance from IDPH on updated isolation and quarantine timelines.
