At least one person has been arrested in connection to several robberies in Indiana and Illinois.
Last Tuesday, police in Knox County received reports of a stolen truck on a farm on Essex Wire Road. The truck was reportedly involved in at least two armed robberies in Illinois, Jumpin’ Jimmy’s Convenience Store in Mt Carmel, and the Grayville Super-8 Motel. Police in Mount Carmel, Il say these robberies have now been linked to an armed robbery in Terre Haute.
Police found the truck Sunday night and arrested the driver, identified as Steven Williams of Oaktown, Indiana.
Williams was charged with criminal conversion and unauthorized control. He could face more charges in connection to the Illinois robberies.
Knox County Deputies are assisting Illinois law enforcement with the robbery investigation.
