Egyptian Health Department Notified of 49 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

Egyptian Health Department was notified over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of 49 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (29)
    • 1 female under the age of 5
    • 1 female under the age of 10
    • 7 males under the age of 10
    • 3 females in their teens
    • 2 males in their teens
    • 2 males in their 20’s
    • 2 males in their 30’s
    • 3 females in their 40’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s
    • 3 females in their 50’s
    • 2 males in their 50’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s

 

  • Gallatin County (2)
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s

 

  • White County (18)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 4 females in their 30’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 2 females in their 40’s
    • 2 females in their 50’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 3 females in their 60’s
    • 2 males in their 60’s
    • 2 females in their 70’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,221 lab confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 510 have recovered, White County has had a total of 658 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 267 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 215 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 121 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois has 7,178 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 57 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 720,114 confirmed cases and 12,193 deaths in Illinois.
