Egyptian Health Department was notified of 2 Saline County residents who have passed away Wednesday due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the families.
Egyptian Health Department was notified on Wednesday of 39 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (17)
- 2 females in their 20’s
- 3 males in their 20’s
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 3 females in their 50’
- 1 male in his 50’s
- 2 females in their 60’s
- 2 females; age demographics unknown-case status in progress
- 3 males; age demographics unknown-case status in progress
- Gallatin County (5)
- 1 female in her 20’s
- 1 female in her 40’s
- 1 male in his 40’s
- 1 female in her 70’s
- 1 female; age demographics unknown- case status in progress
- Please note: a female, was transferred to their local health department
- White County (17)
- 1 male under the age of 10
- 1 female in her teens
- 1 female in her 20’s
- 2 females in their 30’s
- 1 female in her 40’s
- 1 male in his 40’s
- 1 female in her 50’s
- 2 males in their 50’s
- 1 male in his 60’s
- 1 female in her 70’s
- 1 female in her 80’s
- 2 males in their 80’s
- 1 male in his 90’s
- 1 male; age demographics unknown- case status in progress
To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,177 lab confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 510 have recovered, White County has had a total of 622 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 267 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 210 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 121 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois has 11,378 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 155 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 685,467 confirmed cases and 11,832 deaths in Illinois.
