20 year old Eric Sadler, of Grayville, was sentenced Monday, in White County Court, to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections plus 2 years Mandatory Supervised Release on a class 2 felony Aggravated Battery of Police Officer. He was also sentenced to 4 years in the IDOC plus 2 years Mandatory Supervised Release on a class 2 felony charge of Burglary.
Sadler was Second Chance Probation in the burglary case when he committed the offense of Aggravated Battery of Police Officer on September 30, 2020. His probation was revoked with the sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections being imposed. Sadler was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. Judge T. Scott Webb was the presiding judge. Carmi Police Department was the arresting agency in the aggravated battery case; Grayville Police Department had been the investigating agency of the burglary case.
