Egyptian Health Department was notified, on Monday, of 39 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (20)
- 1 female in her teens
- 2 males in their 30’s
- 2 males in their 40’s
- 2 females in their 50’s
- 1 male in his 50’s
- 3 females in their 60’s
- 2 males in their 60’s
- 1 female in her 70’s
- 3 males in their 70’s
- 2 females in their 80’s
- 1 male in his 80’s
- Gallatin County (2)
- 1 female in her 60’s
- 1 female; demographics unknown-case status in progress
- White County (17)
- 2 females in their 20’s
- 2 females in their 40’s
- 2 males in their 40’s
- 1 female in her 50’s
- 2 females in their 60’s
- 1 male in his 60’s
- 1 female in her 70’s
- 2 males in their 70’s
- 1 male in his 80’s
- 2 females over the age of 100
- 1 female; age demographics unknown-case status in progress
- Please note: a male, in his 40’s, has been transferred to their local health department
To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,140 lab confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 493 have recovered, White County has had a total of 586 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 260 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 204 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 119 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

IDPH recommends, over the next three weeks, stay home as much as possible, leaving only for necessary and essential activities, such as work that must be performed outside the home, COVID-19 testing, visiting the pharmacy, and buying groceries.
Wash your hands frequently. Wear a face covering if you have to go out. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Remain 6 feet apart from others.
