Illinois State Police District 19 investigated a Single Vehicle Traffic Crash with Injury, early this (Friday) morning.
Around 2:16, 63 year old Larry M. Vaughn, of Louisville, KY, was traveling eastbound on I-64 at milepost 115, in Wayne County, when his 2014 Freightliner Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer left the roadway to the right. Vaughn overcorrected and overturned onto I-64 and came to rest blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic. He was airlifted to a regional hospital with serious injuries. Eastbound lands were shut down for approximately six hours for cleanup and recovery. Vaughn was cited for Improper Lane Usage.
