HAMILTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT CEO HONORED WITH THE 4 UNDER 40 AWARD

(McLeansboro, IL) Hamilton Memorial Hospital District (HMHD) Chief Executive Officer, Victoria Woodrow named one of the “4 Under 40” at the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) annual conference.

The “4 Under 40” award honors ICAHN member hospital professionals who are making a significant difference and have demonstrated success in their healthcare career. Nominees are judged on professional accomplishments, awards, and milestones.

Woodrow, a Southern Illinois native with an extensive background in healthcare business development, strategy, and public relations, came to Hamilton Memorial Hospital from SSM Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon, IL where she directed business development and marketing initiatives. Woodrow became the CEO at HMHD in 2017 after working as the Director of Business Development and Marketing for the hospital for the prior two years. During her time as CEO, she has worked diligently with her team and Board of Directors to improve the hospital’s financial health including extensive efforts in revenue cycle operations and enhancement of the transitional care swing bed program.

Her leadership during COVID-19 includes improved local COVID-19 testing capacity and establishment of the Hamilton County COVID-19 Planning and Preparedness team, which focuses on pandemic responses and collaboration across local governments, schools, healthcare, and health department resources.

“With her extensive knowledge in healthcare marketing and business strategy, Victoria has been able to help our community hospital achieve financial stability while bringing attention to the exceptional care and services we can provide right here in McLeansboro,” said Mike Lewis HMHD Board President.

“She has truly been an asset to our hospital and our community – we couldn’t think of someone more deserving of this recognition,” continued Lewis.

“I am blessed and humbled to be part of a team comprised of so many who have dedicated their lives to caring for their friends, neighbors, and fellow residents,” said Victoria Woodrow, HMHD CEO.

“When you reflect on the sacrifices these individuals have made and the years they have served Hamilton County and the surrounding area, I’m grateful to get to work alongside a group of amazing people – this award is just as much a recognition for them as it is for me. Their commitment to our hospital is what has helped us accomplish so much,” continued Woodrow.

“I want to thank our Board of Directors and all staff for their contribution to helping HMHD fulfill its honorable mission of providing quality care to our communities every day. Without their support and dedication this award would not be possible,” said Woodrow.

HMHD would like to extend its sincere congratulations to CEO, Victoria Woodrow.
