Grayville City Council to Meet Monday Following a Park Committee Meeting

Grayville City Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m., preceded by a Park Committee Meeting at 6 p.m.

During the Council Meeting, they will review the temporary executive powers and disaster declaration. There will also be an Executive Session for the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired, along with pending, probable or in litigation, followed by any action necessary as a result of the Executive Session.

Old business discussion will include the demolition of abandoned properties, racing, sport & hobby vehicles, a liquor ordinance amendment, a request for TIF 1 and revolving loan assistance, Ordinance #897 Solicitors/Peddler’s 2nd Reading, the bulk water operating system, Tax Levy Ordinance Numbers 901 and 902 1st Readings, Ordinance # 900 authorizing the sale of property located at 407 North Middle Street 2nd Reading, Police Committee recommendations on the Police Department Building and Municipal Ordinance Violations, and Municipal Liability, Property, and Workman’s Compensation Insurance presentations.

New business will include a request for an IDOT Traffic Study to raise the speed limit on Illinois Route 1 from Gray Street South to the I-64 interchange, the Grayville senior citizens request for a donation, Given vs. the County Board of White County, an electric upgrade for the campground, No Parking on West North Street, parking recreational vehicles on city streets, and an updated Zoning Map.

There will also be the usual reports from the Treasurer, Police Chief/Utility Manager, City Attorney, Commissioners, and the Mayor.
