Egyptian Health Department was notified of two Saline County residents who have passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the families.
Egyptian Health Department was notified on Thursday of 29 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County
- a male under the age of 10
- a female in her teens
- a male in his teens
- 2 females in their 20’s
- 4 males in their 30’s
- a male in his 40’s
- a female in her 50’s
- a male in his 50’s
- 2 females in their 60’s
- 2 males in their 60’s
- 3 females in their 70’s
- 2 males in their 70’s
- a female in her 80’s
- 3 males in their 80’s
- 1 age demographics unknown at this time-case status in progress
- Gallatin County
- a female in her 60’s
- White County
- a male in his 50’s
- a male in his 70’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 679 lab confirmed positives, including 11 deaths, 359 have recovered, White County has had a total of 303 lab-confirmed positives, including 6 deaths, 195 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 135 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 90 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days.
