Egyptian Health Department was notified over the weekend, Friday – Sunday, of thirty-seven Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County
- a female, under the age of 10, at home and in isolation
- a male, under the age of 10, at home and in isolation
- 4 females, in their 20’s, case status in progress
- a female, in her 20’s, at home and in isolation
- a male, in his 20’s, case status in progress
- a female, in her 30’s, case status in progress
- 2 female, in their 40’s, at home and in isolation
- 3 females, in their 60’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 80’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 90’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 90’s, hospitalized
- Please note: a male, in his 20’s, reported 10/10/2020 has been transferred to their local health department
- Gallatin County
- a male, under the age of 12, at home and in isolation
- a male, in his 20’s, at home and in isolation
- a male, in his 30’s, at home and in isolation

- White County
- a male, in his teens, at home and in isolation
- 2 females, in their 20’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 30’s, case status in progress
- 2 females, in their 30’s, at home and in isolation

- 2 females, in their 50’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 60’s, case status in progress
- a male, in his 60’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 70’s, at home and in isolation
- 2 females, in their 80’s, at home and in isolation
- 2 males, in their 80’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 90’s, case status in progress

To date, Saline County has had a total of 457 lab confirmed positives, including 6 deaths, 281 have recovered, White County has had a total of 215 lab-confirmed positives and 1 death, 168 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 90 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 74 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
*Case status in progress means that Contact Tracers are currently making contact with the COVID-19 positive case to determine where the individual is located (ie: at home or hospitalized).As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had 2,727 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 9 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 319,150 confirmed cases and 8,984 deaths in Illinois.Please remember the 3 W’s
