Egyptian Health Reports Five COVID-19 Cases Wednesday in Saline County

Egyptian Health Department was notified on September 16, 2020, of five Saline County residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

  • Saline County
    • a female, in her 20’s, at home and in isolation
    • a female, in her 20’s, case status in progress
    • a female, in her 30’s, at home and in isolation
    • a male, in his 50’s, at home and in isolation
    • a male, in his 60’s, case status in progress

 

  • White County
    • Please note: a male, in his 20’s, reported 9/14/2020 was transferred to their local health department

To date, Saline County has had a total of 231 lab confirmed positives, including 3 deaths, White County has had a total of 152 lab-confirmed positives, and Gallatin County has a total of 69 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????? or ????????????????– you should still ?????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results.  Help stop the spread of COVID-19 in your community.

IDPH announced that Illinois had 1,941 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 35 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 266,151 confirmed cases and 8,367 deaths in Illinois.
