According to the Richland County TB and Public Health Office, a coronavirus-positive Richland County, Illinois, resident in her 20s is being charged with reckless conduct for violating an isolation order.

Richland County State’s Attorney Charles B. Vaughn reportedly filed the Class A Misdemeanor case against the woman on Wednesday, Aug. 19, in the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial Circuit at the Richland County Courthouse.

The case filed by Vaughn alleges that the defendant tested positive for COVID-19 and signed an order for isolation from the Richland County TB and Public Health Office, violating that order by leaving her residence and “endangered the bodily safety of the community” by “acting in a reckless manner.”
