Egyptian Health Department was notified on Friday, July 24, 2020 of nineteen Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
Saline County
o a female, in her teens, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his teens, at home and in isolation
o a female, in her 30’s, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his 30’s, at home and in isolation
o a female, in her 40’s, at home and in isolation
o a female, in her 40’s, at home and in isolation
o a female, in her 50’s, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his 50’s, at home and in isolation
Gallatin County
o a male, under the age of 5, at home and in isolation
o a female, under the age of 10, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his 40’s, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his 70’s, hospitalized
o a male, in his 70’s, hospitalized
o a female, in her 80’s, at home and in isolation
White County
o a male, in his 20’s, at home and in isolation
o a female, in her 40’s, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his 50’s, at home and in isolation
o a female, in her 50’s, at home and in isolation
o a male, in his 70’s, at home and in isolation
To date, Saline County has had a total of 73 lab confirmed positives White County has had a total of 41 lab-confirmed positives, and Gallatin County has a total of 34 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. Please maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
