27-year old Michael Thomason of Wayne County, Illinois, was sentenced Friday, June 26, 2020 to a total of 7-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of 2-years of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as “parole”) on Counts I and II in Edwards County Case No. 2019-CF-16 for the offenses of Residential Burglary. The sentences in these two counts were ordered to run concurrently. Mr. Thomason was also ordered to pay restitution to the victims. Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric A. St Ledger prosecuted the case on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois and defense attorney Jason Barnhart represented the defendant, Michael B. Thomason.
