Authorities with Egyptian Health Department have confirmed just the 3rd positive White County resident to test positive for CoViD-19. EHD was notified of the potential on Sunday, June 14th and today (June 15th) were able to confirm the case. The individual, a woman in her 40’s, is said to be doing well and self isolating. Egyptian Health Department, the local healthcare provider, Illinois Department of Public Health and the individual’s family have all been notified and are monitoring the situation. Public Health officials are conducting tracing, and investigating the case by speaking with individuals who are deemed potential close contacts.
To date, White County has only had 3 cases and this is the first in the county since April 28th. Gallatin County has only had 2 cases to date and Saline County, where EHD is headquartered, has had 7 positive cases.
