The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorists traveling on IL 141 of upcoming BRIDGE REPAIRS.
Beginning Monday, May 18, 2020, weather permitting, there will be bridge repairs on the structure carrying IL 141 over a tributary to Cane Creek, 3.0 miles east of IL 1 that will require lane closures beginning at 7am. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by signals. The project should be completed by July 12, 2020. Motorists should be aware of the 12′ 6″ width restriction, reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution while traveling through all work zones.
To avoid any delays motorists should seek an alternative route. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the work zone as quickly as possible.
