Mt. Carmel Police Department, Wabash General EMS, and first responders were dispatched Thursday to the 600 block Division Street in reference to an unresponsive 19-year-old female. The female was transferred to Wabash General Hospital where she was declared deceased. Mt. Carmel Police and the Wabash County Coroners Office is investigating the death. An autopsy was performed and the results are pending. The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services assisted in the investigation.
