Matthew A. Heffington, 30, of Carmi, turned himself in to the Carmi Police Department Friday morning on a Hamilton County Failure to Appear Warrant for Driving While License Suspended. He bonded out to $300 cash.
A 22 year old Missouri woman, Bethany Lynn Coe, was arrested by Carmi Police Friday morning, when a Carmi Police Officer observed Coe’s white Nissan Maxima proceed through the Carmi-White County High School School Zone crosswalk with a crossing guard displaying a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of Oak and 5th Street. She was cited for No Valid Driver’s License, Disobeying a Traffic Control Device, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Coe bonded out to $250 cash.
Karen Miller of 510 Fifth Street in Carmi reported to Carmi Police Saturday afternoon that she had several items stolen from her shed in her backyard.
22 year old, Blake A. Duvall of Carmi, was arrested early Sunday morning by Carmi Police, following a traffic stop at Oak Street and Lexington Avenue, for having an expired registration sticker. The Carmi Police K9 conducted a sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A probable cause search resulted in finding a small amount of improperly transported cannabis. Duvall was arrested and issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. He bonded out to $100 cash.
A 46 year old Crossville man, Jason T. Steed, turned himself in to Carmi Police Sunday evening on a body attachment warrant. He was released on $150 cash.
34 year old Carl D. Poland of Noble, IL was arrested by Carmi Police Monday night following a traffic stop at Fairground and Main in Carmi. He was arrested for Driving While License Revoked and cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
