Victoria was a homemaker and truly loved the outdoors. She loved hunting, fishing and riding horses. She also loved building horse wagons, making flower arrangements and spending time with her grandkids. Victoria was a kind and generous person who would help anyone in need.
Victoria is survived by her husband James Koker of Thompsonville, IL; three sons: Daniel (Samatha) Zappa of Harrisburg, IL, Michael (Lisa) Bowlby of McLeansboro, IL and David Bowlby and significant other Helen Mitchell of Harrisburg, IL; two daughters: Ashley Heil of Norris City, IL and Heather (Nick) Travelstead of Norris City, IL; 11 grandchildren: Kylie Zappa, Braxton Vaughn, Riley Shock, Makenzie Shock, Emeri Heil, Savanna Heil, Carlee Burks, Cassie Burks, Hunter Travelstead, Remington Travelstead and Raelynn Bowlby; one brother, Howard (Lisa) Keown of Alpine, CA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Barbara Zappa, and a sister Donna Zappa.
Funeral services for Victoria Renee (Zappa) Koker will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Kevin Peyton officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado, IL following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with final expenses or to the McLeansboro Animal Shelter and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
