Sue Ellen (Stallings) Sullivan, 66, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at her home. Sue was born February 5th, 1957 to Ernest & Mary (Scott) Stallings.
She had previously worked as a certified nursing assistant and a home health aide. She enjoyed watching classic tv shows, such as The Andy Griffith Show, and classic tv game shows. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Everything she did revolved around her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Sue is survived by her twin daughters: Paula Strantz and Patricia (Strantz) Irvin of McLeansboro; 2 step daughters: Christina Strantz and Kimberly (Strantz) Moles of McLeansboro; a sister Beverly (Stallings) Wilson of Bonnie; brother Dennis Stallings of Flora; brother Dean Powell of Shattuc; 5 grandchildren: Abbigail Strantz, Benjamin Irvin, Alexander Irvin, Mia Ramirez, and Celso Ramirez; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest & Mary (Scott) Stallings, husband Paul R. Strantz, a sister Debra Stallings, a brother Michael Stallings, and a son Paul Strantz, Jr.
A graveside memorial service for Sue Ellen (Stallings) Sullivan will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Prospect Cemetery near McLeansboro. Those attending are asked to meet directly at the cemetery, and are invited to attend a meal afterwards at the Fox Meadows Independent Living apartments in McLeansboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gholson Funeral Home to assist with final expenses, and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
