Richard Lee Tullis, 84, of Springerton, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was born on December 29, 1939, in Springerton, Illinois, the son of Willis and Ruby (McIntosh) Tullis. Richard married Carroll Nadine Hamner on February 16, 1962, and she survives. He worked as a farmer until retirement. Richard was a Deacon at Springerton Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening and doing yard work.
In addition to his wife, Carroll Tullis of Springerton, IL, Richard is survived by his daughter, Dena Lynne Tullis of St. Louis, MO; cousins and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Richard Tullis will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Springerton Christian Church, with burial at Shrewsbury Cemetery in Mill Shoals, Illinois. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, and will be accepted at the funeral home, or may be mailed to Stendeback Funeral Home at 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821. Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield is in charge of arrangements.
