   Laura Faye Bradley, 68, of Norris City, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She was born on February 19,1956, in San Diego, California, the daughter of Darwin Lee and Esther (Midkiff) Bradley. Laura worked as a script girl for the McMillan & Wife T.V. series that debuted in 1971, and ended in 1977. She was a member of First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin, Indiana. Laura was involved with the Girl Scouts, Madrigal Singers and the Drama Department. Later, she enjoyed art, reading, doing crafts, sewing, cooking, cards and playing games.

 Madeline Joyce Lamp. 77, of Carmi passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born December 4, 1946, in Burnt Prairie Township, IL, the daughter of Martin and Coralee (Funkhouser) Vaupel. 

 Donna Jean McCord, 76, of Carmi, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1947, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of Archie and Lillian (Mick) Brown.

     Diane White, 93, of Enfield, Illinois who has lived with her daughter Kathy and family in Bonaire, Georgia for the past six years, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2024. She was born on February 16, 1931, In Ridgway, Illinois, the daughter of  Shan and Elaine (Glascock) Hise. Diane married Harry Junior White on March 11, 1951. and he preceded her in death on November 3, 1999.

Russell Val Wood, 83, of Grayville, Illinois, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born October 29, 1940, in Wayne City, Illinois, the son of Russell Wood and Madoleon (Draper) Wood. He was married to Lois A. (Glover) Wood in 1981, and she preceded him in death in 2024.

Mildred  Anne "Mimi" Jones, 86, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida.

Darlene (Rector) Parsons, 58, of Broughton, IL passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Ruth Ann Benbrook, age 80, passed away 7:57 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab Center in Pinckneyville, IL. She was born February 20, 1944 in Thackeray, IL to Almon Brock and Ruby (Henderson). Ruth married Waylan Ray Benbrook on June 6, 1965. She was a homemaker.

William Thomas Haywood, Jr, a veteran of the Vietnam War and longtime resident of Grayville, IL, passed away on January 24, 2024. Tom, as he was known to many in the area, was born on April 27, 1945 to Tom and Margaret (Whitehead) Haywood and graduated from Grayville High School before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1963. In the Air Force, he served as a jet engine mechanic until 1967. During his Air Force career, he received several awards and citations and was nominated for Airmen of the Year in 1966.

Glen Allen Lawrence, 74, of Browns, Illinois, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Manhattan, Illinois. He was born October 1, 1949, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Joseph Theodore Lawrence and Lena (Enlow) Lawrence. He was married to Donna (Tolley) Lawrence in 1972, and she preceded him in death on September 26, 2021.
