Bonnie Mae Webb, age 89 and a resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, IL.

Barry Francis Rynkiewich, 75, of Norris City, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Eldorado Rehab and Nursing. He was born on March 16, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Michael and Clara (Allen) Rynkiewich. Barry married Emma Jane "Janie" Golden on May 4, 1974, and she survives. He loved farming with his brothers-in-law, James and the late Butch Golden at Golden Brothers Farms. Barry was a member of Union Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Terry Lincoln Hunt, age 74 and resident of Dale, IL, passed away at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN on February 24, 2024 at 6:00 a.m.

Mary Helen Rahmoeller, 88, of Albion, Illinois, died Friday, February 23, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born September 7, 1935, in Gibson County, Indiana, the daughter of John Logan Horton, Sr., and Blanche (Racine) Horton. She married John C. Rahmoeller on March 2, 1953, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2023.

John H. Walker, 65, of Carmi, Illinois, died February 22, 2024, at his home. He was born January 3, 1959, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Wayne and Marilyn (Harper) Walker. He was married to Letha Lorene (Johnson) Walker, and she survives.

Lois A. Wood, 91, of Grayville, Illinois, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Meadowbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Grayville. She was born September 24, 1932, in Grayville, the daughter of Fred and Veda (Vaupel) Glover. She married Russell Val Wood in 1982, and he survives. She was a homemaker.

William E. Luffman, Sr “Elroy”, age 84 of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 9:17 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at White Oak Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, IL. There are no formal services scheduled at this time and a Celebration of Life is to be planned by his family at a later date.

Virginia Sue "Susie" Nichols, 75, of Mt. Vernon, IL passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at her home in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Susie was born March 14, 1948 to Dwight Farris and Norma J. (Allen) Storey.  On November 18, 1994 she married Donald O. Nichols, who preceded her in death in 2012.

  Verla F. Anselment, 90, of Carmi, Illinois, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born on March 15, 1933, in Burnt Prairie, Illinois, the daughter of Gus and Pearl (Taylor) Stahl. She married John E. Anslement on September 19, 1954. Growing up, Verla attended Ashland Christian Church in Mill Shoals and later, First Christian Church in Carmi. She worked for over 30 years for General Telephone in Carmi and then retired from the Farm Service Agency. She loved to camp and work in  her flowers. Verla grew up on a farm and had pets from dogs and cats to Squirrels and raccoons. She loved animals of all kinds.

Victoria Bess Steffl-Whipple of Norris City, IL was born on June 18th, 1970 at St. Louis Hospital in St. Louis, MO to Brenda Forshee and David Steffl of Festus, MO.  On Thursday, February 15th, 2024, Victoria was called home at 5:30 a.m. in her home, peacefully asleep and surrounded by her children.
