John Edward Keith Jr., 76, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.  John was born January 20, 1948 in Denison, TX to John “Ed” Keith Sr. and Ethel (Carr) Keith.  On May 22, 2004 he married Becky (Yohe) Keith, who survives.

Mary Louise Hammell, 99, of Crossville, Illinois, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.  She was born December 7, 1924, in Crossville, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Renshaw) McKnight.  She married David Eugene “Gene” Hammell on March 27, 1943, and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2007.

Beverly Ann Tate, age 88, died with her children by her side on March 3, 2024, in her home in Longview, Texas. Beverly was born on July 31, 1935 in Quay, Oklahoma, to Eppsie and Blanche (Stafford) Bullard, the seventh of eight children.

Robert Dee Puntney, 77, of Crossville, Illinois, died Monday, March 4, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He was born June 15, 1946, in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of Woodrow “Woody” and Wanda (Blazier) Puntney. He was married to Sarah (Dill) Puntney in 1999, and she survives.

Bartley “Bart” Alan Brooks II, 77, of Norris City, IL, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He was born on May 17, 1946, in Carmi, IL, the son of Leland and Madge Ruth (Taylor) Brooks.

Donnetta J. Miller, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her home. She was born August 15, 1950, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Donald C. Cox and Charlotte Caroline (Fieber) Cox. With her mother and sister, Phyllis, they lived on the farm with her grandparents, Philip and Susan Fieber. She was married to Dennis Miller and he survives.

 Dale Frankie Frashier, 88, of Carmi, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Wabash Senior Living in Carmi. He was born on February 13, 1936, in Rising Sun, Illinois, the son of Earl and Ethel (James) Frashier.

Ruthann (Stanley) Carter, 83, of Crossville, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. She was born at Welborn Hospital on November 25, 1940, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Ed and Margaret Stanley.

    Dr. Ronald E. Gholson, age 79, of Charleston, IL (formerly of Broughton, IL) passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at 12:38 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was born April 5, 1944, the son of Rex Roberts and Mary Ann (Turpin) Gholson at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL. He was previously married to Mary Helen Kane where they were blessed with their two wonderful children.

Juanita Ann Broster, 93, of Grayville, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Hollybrook Supportive Living in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born September 6, 1930, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of William E. and Blanch Cecilia (Taylor) Whisenand. She was married to Sam Broster on August 2, 1956, and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2009.
