Joclyn “Joby” A. Walsh, 98, of Grayville, Illinois, died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Meadowbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Grayville. She was born April 23, 1926, in Grayville, the daughter of Dale and Laura (Xanders) Ridens.

Our wonderful Mom, Joycelyn Cockrum, 86, (known to many as “Grandma Joyce”) of Dahlgren, IL passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 2:40 a.m. surrounded by her children at SSM Health Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Joycelyn was born on June 21, 1938 in Chicago Heights, IL to Onnie Franklin “Jay” Pickett & M. Berniece (Whittington) Pickett. 

     Rose Templeton, 96, of Carmi passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi, IL.  She was born on April 7, 1928 in Oklahoma City, OK the daughter of Edgar F. and Essie (Love) Link.

    Betty Sue McMahan, 86, of Golconda, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born on October 12, 1937, in Bumpus Mills, Tennessee, the daughter of Joseph Earl and Lilly (Owen) McEwen. She married Howard McMahan on July 7, 1952, and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2004. Betty was of Baptist faith. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting. Betty also liked quilting, sewing and cooking. She was always wanting to learn new things.

Sherri Lynn Brown, 87, of Carmi, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi. She was born on August 31, 1937, in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Michael and Alyce (Smith) Limpich.

Charles William Everett, 80, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at his home.  Charles was born on July 15, 1944 in Strasburg, IL to John Everett & Opal Louisa (Shanholtzer) Everett.  On July 15, 1997 he married Ruby (Gunter) Everett, who survives.

Bill D. Knowles, USMC veteran, honorably discharged on January 12, 1956, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, at home in Gary, Indiana at the age of 87.

Norman Rubenacker, age 84, a resident of McLeansboro, IL. passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway ICU, Evansville, Indiana.

Kathryn Mitchell, 89, of McLeansboro, passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, September 15, 2024 at McLeansboro Healthcare and Rehab with her daughter by her side.  She was born February 4, 1935 in Carmi, IL to Lee and Tamsey Tuggle.

Dr. James Harlan Hart, 89, of Belleville, IL, formerly of McLeansboro, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Memorial Hospital of Belleville, surrounded by his loving family.
