Norman Rubenacker, age 84, a resident of McLeansboro, IL. passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway ICU, Evansville, Indiana.

Norman was born October 26, 1939, in Piopolis, IL. He was a son of Andy George Rubenacker and Christina Kirsch Rubenacker. He married Linda Lou Lueke on February 12, 1962, in Piopolis. Norman and Linda shared 62 years together. He was a self-employed farmer. Norman was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He loved playing ping pong, golf, playing cards and hunting. “Stormin Norman” loved to give everyone a hard time and enjoyed making them LAUGH.

Norman served in the United States Army.

Visitation will be Monday, September 23rd at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL. from 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Chapel, Dahlgren, IL. Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery, Piopolis, IL.

Survivors include his wife Linda, three daughters, Becky Brock, husband Brad, McLeansboro, IL., Rita Thomas, husband Patrick, McLeansboro, IL. and Lisa Kay Clark, husband Danny, McLeansboro, IL. Six grandchildren, Matthew Niekamp,

Breanna Sandusky (Logan), Marcie McCollum (Travis), Brandon Brock (Sky) and Ramsey and Jaycee Clark. Three great grandchildren, Grayson, Kade and Krue. Soon to be baby boy Brock and baby girl Roslyn. One brother Alfred Rubenacker and wife Bonnie, McLeansboro, IL., Brothers-in-law, Charles Lueke, and Bill and Vicki Lueke. Sisters-in-law Virginia Rubenacker, Mt. Vernon, IL., Donna and Jimmy Joe Steele, McLeansboro, Ruth and Bob Brocket, McLeansboro, Susie Lueke and Terry Wells, Wayne City, IL. Several nieces and nephews survive.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Gene Rubenacker and James Rubenacker and wife Joan. Two sisters, Lorene Hutchcraft and husband, Gene and Evelyn Loeffler and husband Joe. Brother-in-law, Paul and Kay Lueke and sister-in-law Brenda Lueke.

Memorials may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Piopolis, IL. will be received at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL.
