Monica Nicole Tucker, 48, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. Monica was born on May 27, 1976 in St. Louis, MO to Eudel Tucker Jr. & Barbara (Gowler) Williamson.
Monica worked at The Mine Supply Company in Mt. Vernon, IL and had previously worked as the front office manager for the Drury Inn in Mt. Vernon and as a recorder for the Hamilton County Clerk & Recorder’s Office in McLeansboro. Monica had an infectious laugh, she loved life and loved to have fun. She loved boating, caving, and going to the beach. She loved music and loved going to concerts. She was very involved with the Hamilton County Band Boosters club. She also enjoyed antiquing, crafting, and playing board games and card games. Most of all, she loved spending time with her girls. Monica chose to be an organ & tissue donor, and her gift will enable up to 70 people to be helped by her donation.
Monica is survived by 3 daughters: Sabrina (Jacob) Darden of Sikeston, MO; Jordan Tinsley of McLeansboro, and Ella Tinsley of McLeansboro; a brother Eudel (Casey) Tucker III of Hillister, TX; nieces: Jade Tucker, Layla Tucker, Ava Tucker, and Vivian Tucker – of Hillister, TX and nieces Kamryn Pas and Keatyn Pas – both of Woodlawn, IL; her step-father Tommy Williamson of Belle Rive, IL; close friends Staci & Shawn Barker and Bethany Floyd Harnetiaux of McLeansboro, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Eudel Franklin Tucker Jr., her mother Barbara Ellen (Gowler) Williamson, and a sister Felecia Ann Tucker.
Funeral services for Monica Nicole Tucker will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, IL with Pastor Jeremy Hamson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at Sugar Camp Cemetery near Belle Rive, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hamilton County Band Boosters or to the Sugar Camp Cemetery Fund, and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
