Mary Helen Rahmoeller, 88, of Albion, Illinois, died Friday, February 23, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born September 7, 1935, in Gibson County, Indiana, the daughter of John Logan Horton, Sr., and Blanche (Racine) Horton. She married John C. Rahmoeller on March 2, 1953, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2023.
Mary Helen attended the First United Methodist Church in Grayville. She was a homemaker and farm wife, and she was an avid gardener and cook.
Survivors include sons Jack (Karen) Rahmoeller and Bob (Tammy) Rahmoeller, all of Grayville; daughter Patti (Tom) Evans of Albion, Illinois; brother Donnie Horton of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren JaJa (Chad) Alldredge, C.K. (Amber) Rahmoeller, Tyler (Nikki) Rahmoeller, Bobbi (Scott) Browning, Cassie (Steve) Stoner, Kelsey (Lincoln) Rudolph, Austin (Alyssa) Rahmoeller, Chris (Meredyth) Evans;
Great-grandchildren Colton (Jasmine) Alldredge, Jacquie Alldredge, Alyvia Rahmoeller, Ashton Rahmoeller, Brooke Rahmoeller, Briley Rahmoeller, Jett Hicks, Trenton Hicks, Connor Stoner, Trey Evans, and Hagen Evans.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers John and Kenneth Horton; and sisters Joyce Linder and Eunice McCarty.
Visitation and funeral are Monday, February 26, 2024, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville, Illinois. Visitation is 9 am and funeral is at 11 am. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Illinois.
