Mary Dozier
1962-2024

Mary Dozier, 62, of Boyleston, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on August 18, 1962, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of John Ivan and Wave Ernestine (Garrett) Dozier. Mary worked as a teacher's aide at New Hope School. She was a member of Mill Shoals Christian Church where she served as secretary and treasurer. Mary enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being in nature. She loved to watch the sunrise and sunsets. Mary loved her cat and also enjoyed cruising in her red mustang convertible with a black top.

Mary is survived by her sons, Dayne Dozier of Mill Shoals, IL. and Ty Southerd of Fairfield, IL; siblings, Larry (Marti) Dozier, Audrey (Dan) Lemke, Anita Dozier and Ivan Dozier; her boyfriend Brandon Desanti; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Kim Everhart. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, John Harlan Dozier and Ron Dozier.

   A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Dozier, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Mill Shoals Christian Church. Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Mill Shoals Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mill Shoals Christian Church and will be accepted at the church or may be mailed to Jordan Funeral Group, 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821. For those of you who would like to bring food, there will be a meal served at the church immediately following the service. Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield is in charge of arrangements.
