1944 - 2023
Marianna "Mimme" Conner, 78, of Norris City, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at her residence with her kids by her side. She was born on November 28, 1944, in Eldorado, Illinois, the daughter of Dalton and Madaline (Hill) Bishop. Marianna married James O. Conner on January 27, 1973, and he preceded her in death on October 19, 1999. She graduated from Norris City High School in 1963, Marianna went on to beauty school and worked as a beautician for many years. She later owned Mariann's Nook of Charm out of her home until retirement. She grew up in the Presbyterian Church, and attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church with her husband. Marianna enjoyed going to rummage sales and resell shops. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Marianna would never say goodbye, but would say "Love Love." Marianna is survived by her children, Angel Maloney of Norris City, IL, Samantha Austin of Equality, IL, and Bryan (Ada) Conner of Omaha, IL; grandchildren, Zachary Shaw of Evansville, IN, Leah (Emily) Bolin of Norris City, IL, Whitney (Quinten) Halfarce of Omaha, IL, Bryce (Kyleigh Barton) of Woodlawn, IL, and Madeline Conner of Norris City, IL; great-grandchildren, Sylas Halfarce, Elijah Halfarce, and Nova Barton; a nephew, Kevin Allen; and some very special friends. In addition to her husband, James O. Conner, Marianna is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Jacquelyn Allen. Graveside funeral services and burial for Marianna Conner will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City, Illinois.
