Joseph Warren “Joey” Wolf, 66, of Grayville, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at his home. He was born April 9, 1957, in Flora, Illinois, the son of Lloyd and Edna (Ripple) Wolf.
Joey worked in the Illinois Oil Basin, and later as a construction worker.
Survivors include his long-time companion, Pamela Windle; sons Cory Wolf of Carmi, Illinois, Levi (Melissa) Wolf of up-state New York; daughter Rainey Windle of Carmi; brothers John (Christine) Wolf of Bonnie, Illinois, Dave (Tina) Wolf of Smithton, Illinois, L.D. (Joyce) Wolf of Carmi; sister Phyllis (Mike) Blackford of Salem, Illinois; and grandchild Ali; and former wife and mother of Cory and Levi, Terri Wolf.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers: Elmer Gene Wolf, Gordon Wolf, Gary Wolf, and Harold Wolf.
In keeping with Joey’s wishes, his remains were cremated. A gathering of friends and family will be at a later date.
