1948 - 2024
George Patton of Carmi, IL passed on December 24, 2024 at the Linda White Hospice at Evansville, IN.
He was born in January 1948 at Eldorado, the son of John Charles Patton and Alta Lee Cox Welch who both proceeded him in death. He graduated NCO High School, and spent decades working in California working in selling office equipment. He was a Master Mason and belonged to Carmi Lodge #272, Burnt Prairie Lodge #668, and Enfield #667. He loved deep sea fishing and was an avid reader, and donated to both Carmi and Norris City libraries.
He is survived by his daughter Monica "Rochelle" Patton of Golden, Colorado, sisters Peggy Sutton and Cande Mitchell of Norris City and Donna Patton of Newburgh, Indiana. Ther will be a family Memorial held in the spring.
