Everett Lee Redmon
1928-2023

Everett Lee Redmon, 95, of Springerton, IL passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.  Everett was born on July 9, 1928 to Marvin “Boots” Redmon & Mary (Wilson) Redmon.  On October 2, 1954 he married Margie (Reed) Redmon, who preceded him in death on March 15, 2013.

Everett was United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Everett was a construction worker in Fairfield, IL for most of his life before retiring.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

Everett his survived by a son Everett Eugene Stanley of Mill Shoals, IL; three grandchildren: Sherill “Skip” Stanley of Fairfield, IL; Velvet Dawn Tucker (and husband Bryan) of Haubstadt, IN and Mary Stanley (and significant other John Pruitt) of Mill Shoals, IL; six great grandchildren: Shay Stanley, Samantha Stanley, Braden Tucker, Alexis Tucker, Emilee Stanley, and David “Joey” Stanley; one great-great granddaughter Charlie Stanley, two sisters: Linda Dickey of Wayne City, IL and Flo Ann Hart of McLeansboro; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents “Boots” & Mary Redmon, four brothers: Marvin “Cotton” Redmon, Ronnie Redmon, Roy Redmon, and a 7-year-old brother; and two sisters: Ruby Jean Sefried and a sister Helen.

A graveside funeral service for Everett Lee Redmon will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Old Springer Cemetery in Blairsville, IL with Pastor Larry Woodrow officiating. Graveside Military Honors will be performed by McLeansboro American Legion Post #106.

Those attending the service are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
