Daniel Ray Birkner, age 60, passed away at 8:19 a.m., Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, IL.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro. A FAMILY CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD AT THE EAGLES LODGE FROM 8:00 TO 12:00 P.M. THURSDAY EVENING. PRIVATE BURIAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT HIS HOME FRIDAY.
Danny was born December 12, 1963 to Andrew Birkner and Alberta (Van Winkle) Birkner in McLeansboro, IL. He worked as a farmer and was self-employed.
Danny was a member of Eagles Aries 2699, Elks Lodge 1882, The American Legion Post 106, McLeansboro, IL; he was also the owner of Birkner Farms and Birkner Processing. He loved playing with and spoiling his Grandchildren.
Survivors include Partner Shannon Rogers; Son Nathan Birkner of McLeansboro and partner Haylee McPeak; Aimee Birkner, McLeansboro and partner Kyle Hall; Kristin Rodgers and husband Daniel, McLeansboro; Orry Rogers; Taylor Karcher and husband Bryan; Grandchildren Maddie Birkner; Bry Birkner; Kayden Birkner; Kale Birkner-Laswell; Matthew Birkner-Laswell; Andy Birkner-Hall; Emmie Birkner-Hall; Caroline Rodgers; Orlin Campbell; Kinley Rogers; Kylar Karcher; Landon Karcher; Emma Karcher; Luke Short. Sister Shirley Hoffeditz and husband Bill of Erlanger, KY; a Brother David Birkner, McLeansboro, IL.
Danny was preceded in death by his Parents.
