Daniel Lee Kuykendall,
1961 - 2025

Daniel Lee Kuykendall, 64, of Grayville, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home. Danny was born on Friday, February 24, 1961, in Carmi, the son of Ronald Charles and Marilyn Joyce (Campbell) Kuykendall. On April 20, 2016, he married Emily Rose Hartsock in Wabash County and together they have shared over eight years of marriage.

Danny was a boiler maker, who had worked for many years with Performance Contractors at Duke Energy's Gibson County Indiana Power Plant. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Grayville. Danny was a loving, hardworking and devoted, husband, father, son, brother, and friend, he truly cared for his family and friends and loved to spend time with them. He was often found working outdoors and enjoying nature, riding his horses, or spending time with his other animals. One of his greatest passions was helping others, especially his neighbors who at times he assisted with daily tasks. Danny knew above all that his family loved him and that he loved his family.

In addition to his wife Rosie Kuykendall of Grayville, Danny is survived by sons, Dylan Kuykendall of Steamboat Springs, CO, and Noah Kuykendall of Grayville; mother, Marilyn Kuykendall of Grayville; sister, Kara (John Girot) Kuykendall of Grayville, father-in-law, Steve (Beth) Hartsock; mother-in-law, Alberta Elaine Hartsock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, Ronald Kuykendall, Danny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harold and Dana Campbell and his paternal grandparents Charles and Nellie Kuykendall.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the chapel at Roberts and Cook Funeral Service in Grayville with Bob Beckman officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Danny's memory may be made to Noah Kuykendall's Education Fund and will be accepted at Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
