Carol Ann Kingery, 79, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Premier Healthcare of New Harmony. She was born on May 7, 1945, in Conway County, Arkansas, the daughter of Edgar and Clara (Fulmer) Blackwell. Carol worked in medical records as a manager for AETNA Insurance Company for many years. She enjoyed reading, crafting and sewing. Carol was an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol was loved by family and friends, always helping those in need and kept Christmas magical throughout the years.
Carol is survived by her sons, Ronnie Paul (Carie) Kingery of Mt. Vernon, IN. and Jeff (Tammy) Kingery of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Nolan Paul and Emma Kingery, Julia Ann Kingery, Jeffrey Harrison and Emilee Kingery, Justin James (Danielle) Kingery, Jenna Mae (Trey) English; great-grandchildren, Titus, Liam and Nash; nephews and a niece, Danny (Shelly) Lindsay, Rann Dee (Rebecca) Lindsay and Kari (Jessie) Cherry. She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings, Frances Hazel Giles and Robert "Bobby" Blackwell.
Funeral services for Carol Ann Kingery will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. A private burial will be held at a later date at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma. Contributions may be made in Carol's memory to the Ronald McDonald House Charities and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi and can be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821
