Carey “Fuzz” Rose, 62, of Springerton, IL passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at his home. He was a true believer in our Lord & Savior. He was the son of the late Curtis Rose & Brenda Waggoner Rose. He worked as a master logger and a farmer.
He loved his kids, grandkids, and logging – not necessarily in that order. He enjoyed fishing and logging. His favorite saying was: “I’m Carey M.F. Rose, I’m 10 feet tall and bulletproof.”
Carey is survived by 4 daughters: Sha Morris of Paducah, KY; Ashley (Nathan) Herron of Princeton, KY; Kari Rose of Owensboro, KY and Whitney Rose of Marion, KY; 2 sons: Josh Fraliex of Kuttawa, KY and Jesse (Kylee) Rose of Wayne City, IL; 21 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Pamela Rose of Rosebud, IL and Maranda Travelstead of Carmi, IL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jesse & Ruby Rose; his parents Curtis Rose & Brenda Rose, his twin brother Curtis Lynn Rose, and his nephew Curtis Levi Owen.
Funeral services for Carey “Fuzz” Rose will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Springerton Christian Church in Springerton, IL with Pastor Larry Woodrow officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service at Old Springer Cemetery in Blairsville, IL.
