Wabash Valley College is pleased to once again offer Community Choir for the Fall Semester.
Gary Hargett, Guest Director for the Choir this fall, extends an invitation to male and female vocalists, high school through senior citizens, to join the Choir. Rehearsals will be held from 6:45 – 8:30 p.m. each Monday evening in the Music Room (BAC 1) in the Brubeck Arts Center. The first meeting will be Monday, September 19. Choir members are encouraged to attend the organizational meeting.
The Choir will return to the Brubeck Theatre stage at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, for this year’s Christmas Concert, “The Musical Spirit of Christmas.” This year’s program will feature traditional sacred and secular Christmas selections that we’ve listened to and sung since childhood – music that we’ve come to love and which has become a common thread in the fabric of our lives.
Fifth Street Revival will be staging Act II of the Concert this year. The entire Concert will be a joyful family and community way of starting the Christmas season.
Vocalists enrolled in the Choir will receive two semester hours credit. Registration may be completed at the first session.
