57 year old Donald Wilhite of Grayville was sentenced on Friday to 6 years behind bars followed by a year of parole in Edwards County court. Wilhite pled guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine. He also faced a lesser felony charge of using his vehicle in the transport of the drug. That charge was dismissed back in December. Wilhite’s arrest dates back to September of 2018. Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric St. Ledger prosecuted the case. The case was investigated by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department. Wilhite was credited with 87 days of time served. He’s also been saddled with court costs including mandatory fines.
