The White County Sheriff’s Department took two theft reports on Tuesday involving homes in the Enfield and Springerton area.
At 4:35pm, Gary Soltermann reported to deputies that someone broke into his home on Brown Street in Springerton on Tuesday and took cash and new clothes from a bedroom as well as three riding lawn mowers.
At 5:30pm Ruby Hass told deputies that someone had taken items from a safe at her residence on Depot Drive in Enfield. Hass stated that earlier this month, someone had attempted to force their way into her home and were unsuccessful, but items including an emerald ring, two social security cards, and a birth certificate were now missing.
The investigation into both cases is ongoing.
