Members of the White County Retired Teachers Association would like to thank all those who supported the Pork Burger Fund Raiser held Saturday, June 3 to raise funds for the Teacher Grant Program.
A special “thanks” to Little Giant Grocery and staff for hosting the event and Brown Feed and Chemical for the use of the gas grill. Also, to the news media for advertising and promotion. Many retirees helped at the sale in addition to baking cookies and pre-ticket sales. Thank you, thank you. Thanks also to the public who came and enjoyed the lunch while supporting a worthwhile cause.
Grant applications will be available through school superintendents at the beginning of the school year for White County teachers to apply and receive funds for special classroom projects.
