The White County Fraternal Order of Police is accepting donations for the Cops and Kids Christmas program. The program benefits underprivileged children here in White County. The event will take place on Saturday, December 17th at Wal-Mart in Carmi.
This is the 17th year of running the program. Money collected is used to take the children on a shopping spree for clothes and gifts for Christmas. Each child gets to shop with a member of the FOP during the event.
Applications can be picked up at the Carmi Police Department and White County Sheriff’s Department in Carmi or the City Hall in Norris City.
Donations can be made at the Carmi Police Department and the White County Sheriff’s Department. Donations are also being collected at Maier Grocery in Crossville, Dollar General in Norris City, and at Doug’s Food Mart in Norris City. Donations can also be mailed to the Fraternal Order of Police (Cops and Kids) at 108 N. Main Cross St, Carmi IL 62821.
