White County Democrats held their monthly meeting Tuesday August 14 instead of Thursday due to fact the Chairman Nancy Mitchell needed to attend the annual Democrat chairman meeting in Springfield.
There was a discussion of the upcoming Democrat Golf tournament on September 15, 2017 and lining up volunteers for the event. Anyone interested in sponsoring a hole or playing may contact Nancy Mitchell at [email protected] or go by the courthouse to Paula Dozier’s office or Kelly Fulkerson’s office to pick up flyer.
There was also discussion on upcoming parades.
We also had a few guest. Cynthia Given has announced she will run for the District 109 State representative seat against David Reis.
Beth Wheeler Sell is running for County Clerk. Paula Dozier is retiring after this term and we wish her all the best and have appreciated her long time dedication to the Democratic Party.
They also had a representative for JB Pritzker who wanted to introduce himself.
The next meeting will be September 21 at 6:30 pm at White county courthouse. They will have a speaker for Chris Kennedy at this meeting. Chairman Nancy Mitchell was part of the Southern 20 chairmen, who were the first to endorse Kennedy back in March.
