White County Crash Results in Ticket
The Illinois State Police, District 19, responded to a single vehicle crash just before 8 Monday morning that resulted in the driver being cited for improper lane usage.
19 year old Shane Carter of Cambria, apparently lost control of his 2008 Chevrolet HHR while traveling on Illinois Route 141 in White County and ran off the road. The accident report indicated Carter overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle as he pulled back onto the highway and then ran off the road, hitting a tree.
Carter was wearing his seatbelt and only received minor injuries in the accident. However he was cited for improper lane usage.
Illinois State Police were assisted at the scene by the White County Ambulance Service and Cherry Street Garage.
