White County Court Sentencing Monday

White County Court Sentencing

A McLeansboro man and an Eldorado man were sentenced to prison terms in White County Circuit Court Monday according to White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud.

55 year old Lewis W. Richardson of McLeansboro was sentenced to seven years in an Illinois Department of Corrections facility on a charge of aggravated Driving while under the influence, third time, a Class 2 felony. Richardson will also serve two years mandatory supervised release.

Illinois State Police arrested Richardson. He was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. The Honorable T. Scott Webb was the presiding judge.

 

Five years and six months was the sentenced handed down on 42 year old Paul Seagraves of Eldorado on a charge of domestic battery, a Class 4 Felony.

Seagraves was sentenced to four years supervised mandatory release following his release from prison.

Seagraves had been on probation, but his probation was revoked during the sentencing hearing. He was originally arrested by Carmi Police.

Shinkle represented Seagraves.

Judge Webb sentenced Seagraves at the conclusion of the sentencing hearing after receiving and hearing evidence from counsel.

State’s Attorney Aud prosecuted both cases.
