The White County 4-H G.I.F.T. Garden was buzzing Wednesday evening with everyone pulling weeds and  shoveling compost into the raised beds.  Compost bins were also built and a greenhouse was constructed, which First Bank of Carmi graciously donated.  Amy McCarty, Extension Program Coordinator, would like to thank First Bank employees, 4-H members, parents and leaders, Mike Knight, Dale Peach, and Clayton Nelson for getting the garden ready for the upcoming spring planting season.  Summer gardening classes are being scheduled.  Any child age 5 and older can attend.  Come and have some fun with us!
