Twenty-two White County 4-H’ers exhibited projects at the Illinois State Fair on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
Judges award superior ribbons to the top 25 percent in each division. Earning a Superior ribbon, the highest honor available at the state fair, were Gia Berekashvili in Formal Speech, Joseph Gates in his Tractor project, Trenton Johnson in Chalk/Carbon/Pigment, Grace McCarty in Electricity, Ian Mosier with his Original Works Speech, Brenna Russell in Floriculture, Caitlin South in Photography, and Calvin York in Sportsfishing.
Earning Award of Excellence ribbons were Jace Carter in his Visual Arts Wood, Kaden Carter in Cooking 301, Kinley Carter in Citizenship 1, Claire Cawthron in Visual Arts Fiber, Larkin Courson in Animated Video, Alyvia Green in Visual Arts Nature, Sara Harrell in Visual Arts Metal, Jax Jordan in Visual Arts 3-D Design/Mixed Media, Linus Magnotta in Health 1, Mattie McArthy in Child Development, Megan Neal in Woodworking, Briley Pool in Cooking 201, Breyton Sauls in Pebble Pups, and Laney York in her Animal Science.
