Weather is being blamed for a Friday afternoon crash that sent an Eldorado woman to the hospital. Around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, 63 year old Nancy Racine of Eldorado was driving a 2000 Mazda pickup northbound on US 45 near the intersection at White County 125 East. The report indicates strong rain and intense winds further affected the vehicle when Racine began to hydroplane, losing control and eventually striking a ditch embankment and numerous trees. She was taken to Ferrell Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Jones Towing of Omaha towed Racine’s truck. The White County Ambulance Service and Sheriff’s Department also assisted. No charges are expected.
